Hello Reader,
My name is Emani Mone, and since starting this blog, my life has changed so much. When I began this blogging journey, I was a young woman freshly out of high school, looking to start a career in digital marketing. I had the foresight that marketing online would become a huge industry, and this blog has truly been a life-changing platform for me. It allowed me to get creative, stay consistent with publishing my work, and build visibility. It even led to securing some of my very first brand deals—something I didn’t even realize was possible at the time.
Let’s rewind to 2017 when I received my first brand deal and earned my first YouTube and AdSense check. I was astonished. Although I predicted the rise of blogging and influencing, I also noticed the industry shifting. As I dove deeper into the influencer world—attending events, going on trips, and being part of campaigns—I noticed one common theme: consumption and the constant need for more.
I’ve always loved blogging and sharing content, but as my presence in the blogging space grew, I felt pressured to buy things just to create content around them. It wasn’t healthy. I often blogged about my experiences starting or attempting to start a business from scratch, but at that point, I decided to fully commit to becoming the businesswoman I am today.
Almost six years later, I’m back—not to promote consumption or add items to your wishlist—but to share my real-life experiences with topics like business, skincare, travel, and being a new mom! Taking a break was necessary for me to refocus. During that time, I attended esthetician school and pivoted my life to become who I am now: a Licensed Medical Aesthetician, spa owner, wife, and mother to my beautiful son.
Becoming a wife and mother has taught me the importance of maintaining a separate identity outside of my career, my partner, and my child. It keeps me grounded and makes life feel less mundane. So here I am, ready to take you on a journey through my mind and lens. I hope you enjoy reading my thoughts, seeing life through my perspective, and following along on this visual and audio adventure.
If you want to catch up with me, listen to my latest podcast episode on my brand Beauty Strike’s YouTube channel. It’s also available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and more. Just to clarify: this space is separate from my spa, Beauty Strike, and I intend to keep it that way. This is my space to just be a gurl.
